Non-urgent advice: Notice

If you require a routine appointment with a nurse/HCA these can be pre-booked. You do not need to complete an online consultation or call the practice at 8am. We are currently pre-booking appointments with our First Contact Physiotherapist without speaking to GP first, again these may be easier to book in the afternoons.
You can book a telephone call with our pharmacist to discuss your medication reviews or if you have any queries relating to your medication without speaking to a GP.

To request an urgent appointment for today or tomorrow (Monday to Friday):

  • Phone us Monday to Friday on 01233-645851, 8:00am to 6:30pm
  • We operate a telephone triage system. If it is thought necessary to see a clinician you will be offered an appointment for that day or the following day, we will not facilitate "walk in appointments".

For urgent appointments out of hours please telephone NHS 111.

When you get in touch, we’ll ask what you need help with.

We will use the information you give us to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or health professional to help you.

We may offer you a consultation:

Appointments System

We operate a telephone triage system, if it is thought necessary to see a clinician you will be offered an appointment for that day or the following day, we will not facilitate “walk in appointments”

All appointments are initially triaged over the telephone. You can book an appointment by telephoning 01233-645851 or Complete an online form this service, known as eConsult is available Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 10:00am.

If you feel that your consultation with a GP will take longer than 10 minutes, could you please request a double appointment at time of booking. This should help towards keeping clinics running to time. Thank you

We do also offer a limited amount of appointments on a Saturday which are booked on a Friday . We do not offer walk-in appointments on any days, including Saturdays. Please ask the receptionist for any availability if you feel you would benefit from having a Saturday appointment.

For urgent appointments out of hours please telephone NHS 111.

Telephone System

All incoming telephone calls will be recorded for training purposes only; patients will have the following options when calling the surgery,

  • option 1 for prescription queries between the hours of 10:00 – 12:00
  • option 2 for results, between the hours of 15:00 – 17:00
  • option 3 for secretarial/dermatology queries between the hours of 09:00 – 16:00

For telephone or appointment requests patients are asked to stay on the line for a receptionist.

Home Visits

Patients are requested to telephone before 10.30 am if a visit is required that day. Emergency visits only will be arranged after that time. Please give the receptionist as much information as possible to enable the doctor to allocate priority to house calls.

A doctor or nurse may phone you back, as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice or that it would be more appropriate to send a nurse - or indeed arrange a hospital attendance.

House visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.

Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the practice.
